𝔚ℜ𝔜𝔐𝔇ℑ𝔈 is a techno-mythic threshold where cyber-dragons emerge from the virtual matrix, gathering relics, rituals, and impossible machines to resist the forces that seek to capture their hoard.
About malu laet:
malu laet (b. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a multidisciplinary artist based in New York City. Working across sculpture, installation, video, performance, sound, and interactive technologies, her practice explores the relationship between technology and myth through a continuous process of world-building.
Yaa Adoma - Like my heart is me
Through voice, DNA sonification and improvisation, the gene that encodes Earth’s most abundant protein, rubisco, is reimagined as Earth’s most abundant melody. Like my heart is me is an inquiry into what it is to know, to be known, and to be.
About Yaa:
Yaa Adoma is back in Peckham following her Tea Service series, via a residency at MONOM, Berlin. An interdisciplinary artist and computational biologist working with song, software and spatial audio, she sonifies genomic data from more-than-human life through her BIOSYNTHESIS methodology, centring song as a way of knowing. Her work asks how biological knowledge production constructs ideas of ‘other’ (species, race, nature), and if we can relate to molecular knowledge differently through music.
Nell Lang and Ezra Escobar
Filipino-American composer and cellist Ezra Escobar collaborates with East London songwriter & live-coder Nell Lang to present an exciting set that blends sampling, electronic composition, live-coding, and cello. Channelling their shared love of EDM and a commitment to defying genre boundaries & traditions, this performance promises to be vivid, unpredictable, and electrifying.
Ezra Escobar
Lauded as “vibrant” and “gifted” (Chicago Classical Review), Ezra Escobar made his solo debut at age 16 with the Oistrakh Symphony of Chicago. He has since studied at the Music Institute of Chicago, Mannes School of Music and the Royal College of Music, at the latter winning top prizes in both cello and composition. He serves as the cellist of the Jasmine Quartet, a London-based string quartet dedicated to expanding the reach of classical music beyond traditional demographics through repertoire that reaches across genres and cultural boundaries. As a composer, his works have been performed throughout the USA, the UK, and Australia, notably in his hometown of Chicago at Symphony Center and the Ravinia Festival.
Nell Lang
Nell Lang (she/her) is a multi-disciplinary performer and musician. She has performed as a live-coder both solo & with her project code.jam (improvising in code alongside a live band) at venues such as Copeland Gallery, Eastway Baths, Roundhouse Studio Theatre, and Piehouse Co-op. Nell has also composed & performed original music for collaborative exhibitions, plays, podcasts, and most recently the interactive fiction game AULD WOOD (which she also co-developed). She is an alumni of Peckham Digital and Youth Music’s MUSICXCODE, Soho Theatre Labs, and the Roundhouse Music Collective 25/26.
