The Greenwich Village Chamber Music Society (GVCMS) presents its debut concert, benefiting the Amazon rainforest recovery effort.

Program:

  • Rachmaninoff: Trio élégiaque No. 1

  • Mendelssohn: Cello Sonata No. 2 in D Major

  • Poulenc: Clarinet Sonata

  • Bartok: 44 Duos for 2 Violins (selections)

  • Brahms: Clarinet Trio

Featuring students at the Mannes School of Music:

  • Carla Fortmann, clarinet

  • Mikayla Chan, violin

  • Samuel Frois, violin

  • Ezra Escobar, cello

  • Marianne Vartikian, piano

Doors open 5 minutes before concert start.


Donations are encouraged. All donations go directly to nonprofit organizations associated with the current Amazon recovery and conservation effort.
